Elements of topography, weather, geological processes and the action of water provide visual textures that pulse with rhythm. I construct the compositions using mixed papers, found objects, and various paint media. My background is in education, science and art. My training includes numerous art classes at venues such as the Frye Museum and Bellevue Arts Museum, and Bellevue Community College. I have been a member of the Northwest Collage Society, and am presently a member of Eastside Association of Fine Arts. I taught art and science to young children, and as a docent, I worked with schools, the Seattle Aquarium, Bellevue Botanical Garden, and the Bellevue Arts Museum to bring science, nature and the arts together for children and adults to understand and enjoy.
